It consists of making the fully processed cloth Soft, Hard water-proof, sanforised etc. Softening Agents can be used at various stages of processing and the selection of a suitable softening agent depends largely on the stage at which it is to be applied.
It has gained popularity due to its high substantive properties for imparting the desired finish to the fabric.
It gives excellent surface & inner feel.
